Superfantastic Mint Smoothie
1 1/2 small or 1 large banana, frozen, cut into large chunks
1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
2 large dates, pitted
about 7 ice cubes
3/4 cup frozen spinach
1 Tbsp flax meal (aka ground flaxseed)
a drip of peppermint extract-be careful, you can always add more once you taste it!
Place all ingredients in a blender (preferably a high powered one) and blend until smooth.
My love of mint goes so deep, that this smoothie will become one of my staple smoothies. What are your thoughts on mint? Love it or hate it?
I also want to make you aware of another great blog posting that I read this morning. If you have been following Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, this will be of particular interest.

Hey, thanks for the shout out! Your smoothie sounds lurvely, but where does it get the mint flavor? Did you add peppermint extract? Am I just blind? (I'm not known for my good eyesight...)
OMG, it's like a healthy version of McDonalds Shamrock Shake! HEAVEN!!!
Hi Wendy, Thanks so much for your continued information! I just wanted to know what your opinion is between "juicing" vs. smoothie. I know you say you often have a green smoothie for breakfast. Any opinion on that vs. me using my juicer? Thanks, Kaitlin
Kaitlin-
I'm going to leave the answer to a blog post by Gena at Choosing Raw:

As with all advice on nutrition, I think it's important to try things yourself and see how they work for you. Do you get energy from the food or feel sluggish? Do you gain or lose weight eating or drinking that thing? Smoothies and juices work well for some people and might not work for others. As far as which one is better? as long as the amount of fruit is kept to a minimum and the amount of vegetables is high, they are both great. The trouble comes when people are consuming large amounts of calories from fruit sugar in the form of juices or smoothies. So if you decide to do either, make the focus on veg. :)
